Field of expertise: Prof. Yuei-An Liou is a Chair Professor at the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research (CSRSR), National Central University (NCU), Taiwan. He received the double Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences (AOSS) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1996. In the same year, he established Hydrology Remote Sensing Laboratory (HRSL) to launch his research roadmap. His research team mainly focused on the use of remote sensing and GIS technology to environmental issues, including hydrological cycles, natural disasters, eco-environment, and urban heat island for the environmental sustainable development. He has supervised a large number of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students. He is a Principal Investigator in many national and international research projects. He has authored more than 200 research articles, including journal papers, book chapters, and technician reports. His journal papers’ H-index is 41 (Google Scholar) with more than 5100 citations (including self-citations). He has actively contributed to the scientific community and many journals as an Editor, Editorial Advisory Board member, Guest Editor, and reviewer.
