Education: Postdoctoral Fellow in Institute of Earth Sciences, Academia Sinica; Lecturer in Department of Geology, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology.
Affiliation/Organization:
Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at National Central University, Taiwan.
Field of expertise: Dr. Nguyen earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Okayama University, Japan, in 2018. Currently, he holds dual positions as a lecturer at Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Vietnam and as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Earth Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. His research employs geochronology, elemental and isotopic geochemistry, as well as petrology and petrologic modeling to investigate geological phenomena. Dr. Nguyen’s focus lies in deciphering the mechanisms governing magmatism and volcanism, understanding the petrogenetic processes that contribute to the compositional diversity of magmas, and exploring the dynamics of magma chamber processes leading to magma differentiation and volcanic eruptions. His research objectives extend to comprehending the evolution of the Earth, studying volcanic activity, and predicting volcanic hazards.
