The “Semiconductor Career Insights” seminar, jointly organized by the Vietnamese Expert Association in Taiwan (VNEAT) and the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance (SIA), reached its successful conclusion on March 23, 2024. This collaborative endeavor marks a significant milestone in the series of semiconductor events planned by both organizations.
The seminar attracted several distinguished guests, including Dr. Phung Van Bang, the esteemed President of VNEAT, Distinguished Professor & Academician Yuei-An Liou, VNEAT’s Honorary President, and Mr. Nathan Dang, the dynamic Vietnam Market Manager of SIA. Additionally, it garnered enthusiastic participation from other dedicated members of VNEAT and SIA, showcasing the commitment of these organizations to advancing the semiconductor industry. The event received an overwhelming response from a diverse audience, with over 100 participants attending onsite at the GIS Convention Center in NTU, Taipei. Furthermore, more than 100 individuals joined remotely from two bridge broadcasting locations in Vietnam, namely Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and the School of Engineering and Technology at Hue University. Hundreds more engaged online, indicating widespread interest and participation. We were also immensely privileged to have the presence and support of Mr. Nguyen Manh Thao, the Representative’s Assistant at the Vietnam Economic & Cultural Office in Taipei, who added significant value to our event.
Our esteemed speakers, each a respected authority in the semiconductor industry, generously shared their insights, experiences, and wisdom. The stellar lineup of speakers included Professor Frank Koo from National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, Mr. Lin Hung-Wen from “Today” and “Economic Daily,” and Professor Konard Young, a former R&D director at TSMC. Additionally, Vietnamese experts from leading Taiwanese semiconductor companies and universities such as MediaTek Inc., TSMC, Phison Corp, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, and National Taiwan University provided invaluable perspectives and shared their unique experiences.
The seminar’s success was made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: BIDV, IET Taipei LN, VNEX, SYM Sanyang, ViVuDiDu, and Vietnam Airlines. Their unwavering support and generosity played a pivotal role in the event’s successful execution, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to them.
